"Capturing the sweetness of strawberries in a jar isn't
that easy. I have recently tried 'Pleasant Acres' Strawberry

Pleasant Acres Fig
Preserves Figs were known as a delicacy even in
ancient Rome. Our Fig Preserves bring you the fine taste
of figs ready to be spread on fresh baked bread or in layers of
cake. We cook our fig preserves as Louisiana cooks
have done for years. Figs are left whole and slowly cooked
down with sugar until preserved and figs are floating in a golden
brown syrup. These preserves are a popular ingredient in fruit
cakes...if any are left after the hot biscuits are
passed!

Pleasant Acres Watermelon Rind
Preserves This old country favorite is yummy
with hot biscuits or rolls and has also been used for years as an
ingredient in Christmas Fruit Cakes. Our basic recipe was passed
downfrom Doris' great-grandmother, a lady of German descent who
lived her life in the Acadian country of Southwest Louisiana. We
have altered the recipe to lessen the quantity of sugar, but the old
fashioned taste remains.
