Our Jams and Jellies Store is also where we prepare gift baskets and orders for shipment.

established in October 1991 as a part-time venture.  Jellies and Jams from 'Pleasant Acres' were immediately popular.  In March 1994, mother and daughter owners, Doris and Claudia, decided to go full-time.  Husband and Dad, Oren, and Son-in-law, Curt, are indispensable in running errands helping to gather or purchase fruit and a in making deliveries.

By 1997, the need for a larger jelly kitchen was apparent and by February 1998, hardwood and pine timber had been harvested from the family property, sawed into lumber and dried.  Construction began on the new building which now contains a gift shop, storage and office space, and a commercial jelly kitchen.  Take a look inside our jelly kitchen and watch us prepare our delicious jellies and jams!

'Pleasant Acres' line of handmade and all natural jellies and jams, preserves with fruit, and syrups include flavors unique to the South and to Louisiana.  When cooking the jellies and other products, 'Pleasant Acres' cooks use only top quality sun-ripened fruits.  The resulting jellies and jams have that old-fashioned fresh fruit flavor.
